Our process
How selling a business actually works.
Most owners have never done this before. Here is the whole path, in plain terms, from the first private conversation to the day the deal closes. No jargon, no surprises.
Confidential consultation
We meet under a confidentiality agreement to understand your business, your goals, and your timing. There is no cost and no obligation. You leave with a clearer picture of your options.
Valuation & readiness assessment
We review financials and operations to estimate a realistic market value and flag anything that could affect the outcome. You get an honest read on what buyers will likely pay and what, if anything, is worth addressing first.
Preparation & materials
We normalize earnings, organize records, and build the confidential materials buyers expect. Presenting the business clearly and credibly is one of the highest-return parts of the process.
Confidential buyer outreach
We approach a curated set of qualified buyers using an anonymized profile. Buyers learn your identity only after they qualify and sign an NDA. Your staff, customers, and competitors are not in the loop.
Offers & negotiation
We manage interest into competitive offers and help you compare them on price, structure, and fit — not just the headline number. We negotiate toward the terms that serve your goals.
Diligence & closing
Once you accept an offer, we coordinate diligence with your attorney and accountant, keep the timeline moving, and help carry the transaction through to signing and a clean transition.
What to expect
Timing, simply put.
Every deal is different, but a typical sell-side process runs several months from preparation to close. Starting early — even a year or more out — gives you time to address value drivers before you go to market.
Confidentiality, throughout
Discretion is not a feature of our process. It is the foundation of it.
